Ice Scale's
SEMCO/SEMCOLD LLC offers two styles of scales which can be used in fishing, concrete, and other produce industries. The BS series (Batch Scale) and the CBS series (Concrete Batch Scale). The BS series is offered in two sizes the BS-150 and the BS-300.
The BS-150 scale will weigh up to 150 pounds of ice in its weigh hopper. Once the scale indicator detects the desired weight that it is set for, the weigh hopper doors open and closes (Approx. 1 to 1-1/2 seconds) releasing the ice into the 600 pound delivery hopper with 12” discharge screw. Once the predetermining counter reaches its preset count, it activates a series of timers to start shutting down all related equipment in series with the system, acting as a clean out mode for the system so that no ice is left in any part of the delivery system. The delivery rate is approximately 25 tons per hour.
The BS-300 scale will weigh up to 300 pounds of ice in its weigh hopper. Once the scale indicator detects the desired weight that it is set for, the weigh hopper doors open and closes (Approx. 1-1/2 to 2 seconds) releasing the ice into the 1200 pound delivery hopper with 12” discharge screw. Once the predetermining counter reaches its preset count, it activates a series of timers to start shutting down all related equipment in series with the system, acting as a clean out mode for the system so that no ice is left in any part of the delivery system. The delivery rate is approximately 45 tons per hour.
The CBS (Concrete Batch Scale) series are also offered in to basic sizes. The CBS-800 which will weigh up to 800 pounds and the CBS-2000 which will weigh up to 2000 pounds. The weigh hoppers are supported by four independent beam load cells that are wired in series and connected to the weigh indicator. All weigh hoppers are supplied with one right hand and one left hand discharge screws to empty the hopper when the desired weight has been reached. The discharge screws are powered by either a 5 HP or 7-1/2 HP high torque gear drive motor.
A pneumatic vibrator is also provided for each scale hopper, to help insure that the ice slides down the sides of the plastic lined hoppers. Discharge rates as quick as 2.5 seconds can be achieved with these systems. Ice should NOT be stored in these units for more than just a few minutes, as melting and fusing of ice will create bridging and clogging problems. Other size CBS scales can be supplied upon special quote request.
ALL SCALES SHOULD BE TESTED AND SEALED AFTER INSTALLATION BY A LICENSED SCALE MECHANIC AT PURCHASER’S EXPENSE.
Pneumatic Blower
Each Pneumatic Ice System is custom designed to meet the requirements of each customer’s needs. Blowing distances of up to 600 feet can be achieved. Multiple delivery points can also be achieved by using manual or pneumatic stainless steel diverter valves. With the use of long sweep aluminum elbows going up, over, or around obstacles can also be easily achieved. Available elbows include 90, 67-1/2, 45, and 22-1/2 degrees.
A RV-158 Rotary Valve will be required to complete the system, the rotary valve is the metering device that controls the amount of ice entering into the air stream. Heat ex-changers can also be provided when required to help minimize the melting of ice in the high temperature air stream that blowers produce.
